Trainings
Alcance School and Alcance Teen
We received groups to carry out our Escola Alcance training in the month of July, which takes place at our headquarters in Fortaleza, and Alcance Teen at the base in Caucaia. Once again we had the privilege of contributing to the awakening of the call and training of Christians to bring the good news to the lost.
In January of 2024 we will not hold Alcance in Fortaleza, as our leadership understands that this month will be one of alignment and restructuring of our school. This decision will mean that in the near future we will offer an even more surprising reach for everyone. The next edition will take place in July/2024 and registration is now open through the link available on our Instagram @mvfbrasil.
Release: O Improvável
“O Improvável: when God begins a new story from yours”, is the autobiography of our founder and president Janio Lima. In the book, Janio narrates his exciting life story, since childhood, telling about his conversion to Christ, the call to missions and experiences of faith and miracles on the mission field. An impactful story of transformation and the real action of God in our days.
The book launch service took place at our base, bringing together leaders and friends from various churches and ministries in Fortaleza, who during these years of existence followed and contributed to the history of Mission Focus Life and to Janio's own life.
The materialization of this book was not easy, many obstacles arose during the arduous process. Having it in our hands is an immense joy and a milestone in our history, because through it we have the privilege of encouraging people and sharing the vision to which God has called us, not for our glory, but so that His name may be magnified through us!

Ester Project
Another class of the Ester Project began in September. The 2nd psychotherapy class with women from the Lagoa do Barro community (Caucaia) is a partnership with the FloreSer Project by psychologist Ana Vládia. During the ten sessions offered, women are welcomed, heard and loved through workshops, activities that focus on therapeutic work to help them give new meaning to the past and look to the future with a new perspective of hope.
In addition to the contribution of group therapy, we witness the action of the Holy Spirit in the lives of these women, healing and restoring their hearts marked by so many traumas and devastating situations. We have seen the Lord surround them with his great unconditional love in each encounter.

Retreat
Our team of missionaries from the main and coastal bases withdrew during the last weekend of October for a time of rest and communion. During this time we were able to enjoy God's kindness and care for us, renewing our strength in the midst of so many challenges that we face in our daily lives on the mission field. Still in the retreat, the daughter of our leaders, missionary Hannah, had her water baptism experience. Although she has been in the faith since she was little, she chose for this moment to take place when she reached adulthood and in the presence of MFL missionaries.
Missionary Trip: Juazeiro do Norte
The Lord has given us plans and challenges for the next 12 months, and we are going to share with you one that has already begun: Mission Focus Life in Juazeiro do Norte! A team of our missionaries made a trip to the interior at the beginning of October to support the work that is already being carried out there by a couple of our workers. Evangelistic worship activities were also carried out for adults and children in regions of the city, encouragement of the local church and dissemination of the book O Improvável in the Cristo Vive church and Desperta-me Church. Be in prayer with us about this new challenge.
Communities
Children's Day
We experienced the miracle of multiplication in the events celebrating Children's Day in our projects. More than 500 children were reached in programs of great joy and manifestation of God's love. We faced a huge challenge in raising the resources to organize the parties. It was necessary to review ideas, modify plans and most important of all, trust that the Lord would provide and that nothing had escaped his control. And so it was, from offer to offer, from donation to donation of items for souvenirs, meals and even labor, we were able to live these days of joy. And what we had prepared for a certain number of people, the Lord multiplied and blessed much more! This way we were able to serve meals not only to the children, but also to family members who were present.
Women
In our monthly meeting in October with women from the Baixada and Rosalina communities we worked on the topic of Women's Health, the importance of mammography exams and the practice of physical, emotional and spiritual self-care. Sisters in Christ from the health sector were with our team speaking. At the coastal MFL, a Women's service held at the Focus Life church, brought together more than 80 women, including members and visitors, who experienced a moment of communion and heard through testimony about God's love that changes lives! God has truly given us the privilege of reaching and touching the lives of many women in our projects.
1. Pray for our missionaries and work in Brazil (MFL Headquarters, Coast and Cariri) Cape Verde and Finland;
2. Pray for the Christmas parties that will take place in all our projects so that the message of Hope reaches hearts;
3. Pray for the time of intercession that we will have in January here at the headquarters base so that God will speak to us and direct us towards the new year.
We need your prayers. Whenever possible, place these points before the Lord. We want His guidance and wisdom so that we can live what he called us as a mission to do!
Baixada Project Reform
Our building is getting better and better! Thanks to the help of Mount Paran North Church, we are adding ceramics throughout the project and making adjustments to the walls and bathroom. We hope in the next letter to share the result of this renovation that will make our building better to serve people.
